Welcome to my website.
My name is Karlien and I am a photographer in Victoria Falls Livingstone, Zambia.
I am a dedicated wife and mom to two little busy boys who keep me on my toes. Balancing work and life is part of my daily routine and I absolutely love it!
Being a photographer is more than just an occupation for me, it’s my passion! Capturing moments on a wedding day, during a family shoot or an event is time spent to the fullest. I often get goosebumps while capturing lasting memories for my clients.
I am a creative and have over 10 years experience in wedding photography. I enjoy working with people and capturing the fun and unexpected moments of life. Those behind the scene moments at a wedding that most guest never get to see or those little moments between photos at a family photoshoot, is some of my favourite images to capture.
After obtaining my Bachelors of the Arts Degree in Graphic Designing at the University of Potchefstroom, I followed my heart (my husband) to Livingstone, Zambia. Here we have been blessed to live for the past 15 years.
I specialise in Wedding Photography and still love every single wedding that I have had the opportunity to photograph. Goosebumps galore!
I use natural light as well as artificial lighting where suited to adapt to any lighting situation that I may find myself in. I keep my editing as natural and true to the day of the photograph as possible and I avoid “filters”. I render images in Black and White where I see fit and know it will enhance the image.
Like each of my clients, every photoshoot is unique. I am inspired by my client’s enthusiasm and their uniqueness in creating lasting memories. It ensures a return ticket to that special moment or day.
